Nairobi, Kenya, January 22- In a chilling turn of events, detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) are unraveling the details of a horrifying murder case after a 29-year-old man was caught ferrying human body parts in Nairobi. The suspect, identified as John Kiama Wambua, was intercepted by a police patrol team in Huruma early Tuesday morning, raising questions about the brutal slaying of his alleged victim.
At approximately 5 a.m., officers from the Huruma Police Patrol team stopped Wambua, who was carrying a heavy backpack near Kelly Towers. His suspicious demeanor prompted the officers to search the bag, leading to a shocking discovery: parts of a mutilated human body.
“On quick interrogation, the suspect alleged that the same belonged to his wife Joy Fridah Munani, 19. Wambua who appeared unperturbed by the discovery led the officers to his house where the other body parts were recovered under his bed. In the single room with a bloody floor of which no scene could be more horrendous, the officers also recovered a sharp knife and the victim’s clothes soeked in blood. Also established was that some body parts were still missing.” DCI posted.
John Kiama Wambua has since been taken into custody and is set to face murder charges. “We are working tirelessly to uncover the missing body parts and piece together the events leading up to this heinous act,” said a DCI spokesperson.
The gruesome murder has sent shockwaves through the Huruma community, with residents expressing disbelief over the horrific events.
As investigations continue, detectives are committed to ensuring that justice is served for the victim. The incident serves as a grim reminder of the need for vigilance and community cooperation in addressing and preventing violent crimes against women.
