Nairobi, March 13- A foreign national lost his life this afternoon after being struck by a high-speed presidential convoy along Ngong Road.
The accident took place near Greenhouse Mall as the convoy traveled from Lang’ata towards Kibra constituency.
The victim, identified as a middle-aged white man, was reportedly attempting to cross the busy road when he was hit, seemingly unaware of the approaching vehicles.
A senior officer familiar with the situation described the incident as a tragic accident.
The deceased’s body has been taken to the City Mortuary, where an autopsy is expected to be conducted.
Meanwhile, President William Ruto is in Kibra for a public engagement as part of his unity pact with former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
During his visit, Ruto has inaugurated several development projects in Lang’ata and Kibra constituencies and is set to address the public at Kibra DC Ground. He is accompanied by Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja and several opposition lawmakers from the county.
