Nairobi, November 26- Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has appointed two former UDA aspirants from Malava Constituency to diplomatic roles. Simon Kangwana was named Education Attache at the Kenyan Mission in Uganda, while Rhyan Injendi Malulu was appointed Trade Attache at the Kenyan Embassy in South Africa.
Following the announcement, Kangwana expressed gratitude to both President William Ruto and Mudavadi for the appointment. Malulu pledged to strengthen trade and bilateral relations between Kenya and South Africa.
Separately, Leonard Shimaka was formally welcomed to the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) Board of Directors after his appointment by the Cabinet Secretary for the National Treasury and Economic Planning. KRA Commissioner General Humphrey Wattanga highlighted Shimaka’s leadership as crucial for advancing service delivery, ethical conduct, and institutional trust at KRA.
During a rally at Malava Primary School, Mudavadi called Kangwana and Malulu to the stage to read their appointment letters. He also urged residents to vote for the UDA candidate in the upcoming by-election, stressing that the election of David Ndakwa would improve access to government services in the constituency.
All three appointees had been UDA aspirants in the Malava primaries and were promised government positions by President Ruto in exchange for supporting Ndakwa in the by-election.
