Nairobi, February 16- Kenya Airways has warned travelers of major flight disruptions at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) in Nairobi due to an ongoing strike by aviation workers. The industrial action has caused delays and adjustments to both departures and arrivals as of Monday, February 16, 2026.

In a statement, the airline expressed regret for the inconvenience and said it is working with aviation authorities and airport partners to minimize the impact while ensuring safe operations. Passengers were advised to check the status of their flights before heading to the airport and to consider rebooking if necessary.

The strike, organized by the Kenya Aviation Workers Union, has also affected other carriers, including Jambojet, which reported delays on some scheduled services. The labor action stems from a dispute with the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority, resulting in slowdowns in air traffic control operations and wider operational challenges at the country’s main airport.
