Nairobi, October 13- Police in Gatundu South, Kiambu County, have reportedly seized 8,500 litres of ethanol concealed beneath bags of maize and sawdust in a lorry at Wamwangi.
The discovery was reported on Tuesday, October 13, as officers moved to intercept the consignment. The use of agricultural produce and sawdust to conceal the liquid raised questions about how the shipment was being transported.
Authorities are expected to establish the origin and intended destination of the consignment, as well as whether the transportation complied with applicable laws.
