Nairobi, July 15- In response to a human rights monitor’s report, a couple was detained in Mombasa for allegedly abusing their own children in an online sex ring.

On July 14, 2025, two suspects were taken into custody in Mombasa by a team of detectives from the Anti-Human Trafficking and Child Protection Unit (AHTCPU) and DCI Changamwe for allegedly exploiting and soliciting children online.

After receiving information, police detained Regina Kauli Munyoki, 41, who was allegedly marketing her three children, ages 13, 7, and 4 (two girls and one boy), for sexual exploitation through the dating website “AfroIntroductions,” run by Cupid Media.

According to investigations, Regina was making money by sharing pornographic images of her kids and selling them to prospective customers in return for cash.

Shockingly, further findings revealed that her husband, 52-year-old Isaiah Owala Gura, had been repeatedly defiling their 13-year-old daughter since she was just 11.

Both suspects have since been arraigned before the Mombasa Law Courts, where Regina was granted a bond of Sh1 million, with two sureties of the same amount.

Meanwhile, Isaiah remains in custody at Shazu Prisons, awaiting a bond ruling scheduled for July 15, 2025
