Nairobi, August 18- The Commission Committee on Information and Public Communication, led by Chairperson Senator Wahome Wamatinga, conducted a preparation visit to the Mombasa ASK Grounds in Nyali Constituency ahead of the upcoming Mombasa International ASK Show scheduled for September 3–7.

The delegation included commissioners Hon. Mishi Mboko, Senator Okongo Omogeni, and Senator Johnson Muthama, who accompanied the Chairperson to assess the level of preparedness for the event.

According to the committee, the visit provided an opportunity to evaluate the readiness of the Taskforce on Parliamentary Outreach and Public Engagement. The team emphasized the importance of ensuring that Parliament’s presence at the exhibition offers the public valuable insights into the roles, functions, and ongoing activities of the institution.

The lawmakers expressed their appreciation to the staff coordinating this year’s event, noting that their efforts will contribute to the success of the annual show, which has become a vital platform for education, interaction, and public awareness.

The Mombasa International ASK Show is one of the most significant events in the agricultural calendar, attracting participants from across the country and beyond. This year, Parliament is expected to enhance its engagement with citizens through interactive exhibitions and information-sharing sessions.
