Nairobi, August 21- Mugithi sensation Samuel Muchoki, better known as Samidoh, has officially resigned from the National Police Service (NPS), marking the end of his career in uniform.

The NPS accepted his resignation, enabling him to focus fully on his successful music journey while also terminating any pending disciplinary proceedings over allegations of desertion.

According to the Daily Nation, Inspector-General of Police Douglas Kanja confirmed the move, noting that Samidoh is now free to pursue his personal ambitions. His exit comes after years of service in both the regular police force and the Administration Police’s Anti-Stock Theft Unit (ASTU).

In recent years, his career in the service had been marred by controversy from publicized marital disputes to a viral clip of him chanting the opposition-linked “wantam” slogan, which displeased senior officers and resulted in his transfer to the ASTU.
