Nairobi, November 17- Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has revealed that he rushed to Kitengela after receiving a distress call from his daughter, who said she had been physically assaulted by her husband. Sonko recounted that upon hearing of the incident, he immediately went to her location to intervene and ensure her safety.

In a video shared on social media, Sonko explained that he confronted his son-in-law and removed his daughter from the home. He also insisted that the man return accompanied by his parents, highlighting the seriousness of the situation.

According to Sonko, his daughter told him that she had been slapped twice by her husband simply for asking what to prepare for breakfast. He expressed deep concern over the incident, emphasizing that domestic violence can take many forms and is not limited to physical abuse.

Sonko used the occasion to speak out against domestic violence, urging victims to seek help and not to tolerate abuse. He warned that such behavior not only inflicts physical harm but also damages the soul, stressing the importance of protecting loved ones and standing against all forms of domestic mistreatment.
