Nairobi, March 7- The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has officially endorsed collaborative framework with the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) singling a significant shift in Kenya’s political landscape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Supporters of ODM gathered outside the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC), singing and dancing in anticipation of the major announcement between President William Ruto and opposition leader Raila Odinga.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
President Ruto described the agreement as a crucial step toward fostering national unity and promoting bipartisan governance. He emphasized the need to move beyond political divisions, urging leaders to prioritize the country\u2019s future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Raila, who has been actively engaging in consultations across various counties\u2014including Kisumu, Siaya, Homa Bay, Busia, Kilifi, and Wajir\u2014called on Kenyans to embrace patriotism and abandon political mistrust. This follows his unsuccessful bid for the African Union Commission Chairperson seat, after which he ramped up discussions in Kisii ahead of revealing his next political move.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Addressing mourners during the burial of Baringo Senator William Cheptumo on March 1, President Ruto stressed the importance of implementing the constitution in its entirety. He argued that once this is achieved, issues like bad governance and corruption would become a thing of the past.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hinting at further political realignments, Ruto reaffirmed his commitment to forging alliances with opposition parties, starting with ODM. He dismissed critics who oppose his unity efforts, maintaining that patriotism should transcend political differences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe may have disagreements, but we must never disagree on Kenya\u2019s destiny,\u201d Ruto stated. \u201cIf Kenya prospers, we all benefit. If it fails, we all suffer.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
