Nairobi, August 27 – Former nominated Senator Gloria Orwoba on Tuesday clashed with security officers after she was denied entry into the Senate, where she had gone to present documents affirming her reinstatement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Visibly agitated, Orwoba insisted she had legally resumed her role, accusing security personnel of acting on \u201cpolitical instructions.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her standoff came shortly after the Political Parties Disputes Tribunal (PPDT) overturned her expulsion from the United Democratic Alliance (UDA), ruling that the party\u2019s disciplinary process was riddled with irregularities and violated principles of fairness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Orwoba, expelled earlier this year over alleged disloyalty, has maintained the accusations were politically driven and continues to assert her legitimacy as a nominated senator until courts decide otherwise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
