Nairobi, September 2 -The Standard Group has confirmed that its Associate Editor, Alex Kiprotich, has been found safe following his abduction along the Gilgil\u2013Nakuru highway on Tuesday night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the media company, Kiprotich was located at around 6:30am on Wednesday near Masinga Dam by a Standard Group team led by Group CEO Chaacha Mwita.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The company said Kiprotich had been dumped by his abductors in the early hours of the morning before seeking refuge at a nearby family\u2019s home. The family reportedly took him in and cared for him until he was found.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kiprotich is safe but remains shaken following the ordeal, the Standard Group said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The media house thanked members of the public and others who joined the overnight search, offered prayers and supported Kiprotich\u2019s family during the anxious hours. It also expressed gratitude to the family that provided him with shelter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
