Nairobi, October 8- Former Wajir Woman Representative Fatuma Ibrahim Ali has been approved as a non-Member of Parliament commissioner on the Parliamentary Service Commission (PSC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The National Assembly endorsed her nomination on Wednesday, completing the parliamentary approval process after the Senate had earlier backed her appointment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ali will take over from Rachel Ameso, whose term as a PSC commissioner came to an end. She will serve as one of two commissioners appointed from outside Parliament under Article 127 of the Constitution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ali previously served as the Wajir Woman Representative before joining the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA). Her experience in Parliament and public affairs was among the factors highlighted in support of her appointment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
