Nairobi, September 15- The High Court has upheld a law that bars retired Presidents from holding leadership positions in political parties more than six months after leaving office.
The ruling means former Presidents cannot continue exercising active political influence through formal positions within political parties once the six-month transition period has elapsed.
The court maintained that the restriction is legally valid and is intended to preserve the separation between the office of the President and active partisan politics after retirement.
