Nairobi, September 15- Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has endorsed Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna as his preferred candidate for the 2027 presidential election under the Linda Mwananchi movement.
Owino said he will focus on mobilising voters in Nairobi to support Sifuna, citing the capital’s nearly 2.5 million registered voters across 85 wards as a key part of the movement’s campaign strategy.
He said he would continue participating in Linda Mwananchi activities across the country but would dedicate more time and resources to strengthening the movement’s support in Nairobi.
Owino also indicated that he intends to pursue his own political ambitions in 2027, signalling interest in the Nairobi governor’s seat. His endorsement comes as opposition leaders continue efforts to build a united political front ahead of the 2027 General Election.
