Nairobi, October 8- Kenya Railways has announced free evening commuter train rides for a limited number of passengers in Nairobi as part of Customer Service Week celebrations.

The promotion, being conducted in partnership with the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), runs from October 7 to October 9, 2026.

The offer targets passengers using the Nairobi Commuter Rail network during evening hours, although Kenya Railways has clarified that the free rides will only be available to a limited number of commuters.

The initiative is part of activities marking Customer Service Week and also coincides with Kenya Railways’ celebration of 130 years of rail connectivity.

The corporation has encouraged commuters interested in the offer to follow its official communication channels for information on participating routes and how to access the free tickets.

The Nairobi commuter rail network serves several areas around the capital and provides an alternative to road transport, particularly during peak-hour traffic.
