Nairobi, Kenya, January 6- Former Kisumu MCA Arrested in Organ Harvesting Case Linked to Gruesome Murder

Police in Kapsabet have arrested Carren Atieno Muga, a former Kisumu nominated Member of County Assembly (MCA), over a suspected organ harvesting operation tied to the brutal murder of Enock Kipsang.

Kipsang was found beheaded, with his private parts mutilated. Muga, the mother of one of the primary suspects, was apprehended along the Chemelil-Miwani-Kisumu road while allegedly fleeing her home. Her vehicle, a Toyota Harrier, was impounded as evidence.

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Tinderet is leading the probe, with efforts underway to track down other suspects involved.

Chemase Police Post Attack

Meanwhile, police recovered stolen items after a mob attacked Chemase Police Post in Nandi County on January 2, killing a murder suspect, Victor Kimtai, and setting a police vehicle ablaze. The mob also looted the station, stealing flags and other property. The stolen flags were recovered during a patrol at Chepswerta Market. The incident has highlighted rising tensions and calls for stronger security measures in the region.
