Nairobi, August 27 – Activist and social justice advocate Boniface Mwangi has declared his intention to contest the presidency in the 2027 General Election, pledging to fight for a Kenya anchored on justice, equality, and democratic principles.

Making the announcement at Ufungamano House in Nairobi during Katiba Day celebrations, Mwangi underscored the need for a leadership that prioritizes the welfare of ordinary citizens and translates their hopes into actionable policies.

Mwangi, a longtime critic of corruption and misrule, has been a prominent figure in recent demonstrations against President William Ruto’s administration, where he has consistently called for justice, transparency, and accountability from those in power.
