Nairobi, October 9- Kenyan singer-songwriter Savara Mudigi, best known as a member of the award-winning group Sauti Sol, has earned Grammy consideration in the categories of Best African Music Performance and Best Global Music Performance.

His tracks “Sianda” (released earlier this year) and “Show You Off” (released in October 2025) were submitted to the Recording Academy for review ahead of the 2026 Grammy Awards. The recognition places Savara among artists being evaluated for nomination before the official list is announced on November 7, 2025, ahead of the 68th Annual Grammy Awards on February 1, 2026.

Sharing his excitement on X, Savara wrote: “Honored to be considered by the @RecordingAcademy for Best African Music Performance and Best Global Music Performance. Big love to everyone who’s been part of this journey the team, collaborators, and every listener pushing the sound forward. This is just the beginning.”

The achievement marks a significant milestone in Savara’s solo career since Sauti Sol took a break from group projects.
