Nairobi, February 19- Tanzanian music star Diamond Platnumz has once again found himself at the center of a cheating controversy after intimate photos and videos allegedly leaked by a former lover went viral online.
For the past 24 hours, the WCB President has dominated headlines following the emergence of never-before-seen footage that sparked widespread speculation about his love life.
In response to the uproar, Diamond admitted that he had been involved with the woman in question but clarified that their relationship ended in 2023. He further alleged that she was attempting to extort him by releasing the content in a bid to demand financial compensation.
“I have seen some videos circulating online that involve me… These clips are from 2023, more than two years old. I ended things with this woman almost two years ago. I also informed my current partner, and we forgave each other and moved on. She is now using these clips alongside false messages to blackmail me for money. The matter has been reported to the relevant authorities, and legal procedures are being followed,” Diamond stated.
He also assured fans that his partner, fellow singer Zuchu, was already aware of the situation and had chosen to forgive him.
However, the alleged ex-lover, identified as Rita, has refuted Diamond’s claims. According to her, she was the one who ended their relationship in November 2024 after realizing that he was not serious about their future together. She further accused the singer of misleading the public by claiming they broke up in 2023, stating that this was the year Zuchu discovered their affair.
Rita also clarified that the messages mentioning money were about unpaid rent, which Diamond had promised to cover but failed to fulfill. Additionally, she alleged that while they were together in South Africa, the singer was involved with multiple other women.
