Nairobi, February 26-Fans have been sharing mixed reactions online after Bahati surprised his wife, Diana, with a luxurious Mercedes Benz G-Wagon Brabus to celebrate their eighth anniversary.
The musician had been showering Diana with gifts for seven days, and on the eighth day, he took things up a notch with the extravagant car, reportedly worth Ksh45 million. He also carefully planned every detail of the occasion, from selecting matching outfits for both of them to arranging a helicopter ride before unveiling the customized pink vehicle.
Overwhelmed with emotion, Diana could not hold back her tears as she expressed her gratitude, sharing on Instagram:
“He chose me! He chose the outfits without my knowledge, which I love! He bought me the best quality hair. Despite his fear of heights, he chose that his Queen rides on a chopper with him. He bought me my dream car; a customized G-Wagon Brabus. He chose to make me happy! You are enough @BahatiKenya.”
Reflecting on their journey together, Diana reminisced about how Bahati won her over with his humility despite their different backgrounds. She recalled how transitioning from her previously lavish lifestyle to a more modest one with Bahati was challenging at first, but she remained committed to building a future with him.
“I don’t know what to say. This man was sent from Heaven for me! To love me, to care for me, to protect me, to show off the Glory of God through me. I knew He was the one for me, the first day we had coffee when he requested me to be his vixen. He was different! He talked to me with so much humbleness. He showed interest later. I was the lavish, worldly kind of a girl. I told God that I’m leaving everything behind to start with this Man, Bahati. The first two years were crazy. I was used to the high life… Down to, we live by our means. I told God, I found a Man I love Genuinely. Trust me to build an Empire with him.”
While many fans congratulated the couple on their milestone and admired Bahati’s grand gesture, others had mixed opinions, with some questioning the extravagance of the gift.
