Nairobi, August 25- Esther Njeri, grandmother of the late TikToker Brian Chira, has once again stirred conversation online after making a fresh appeal to Kenyans.
Since her grandson’s passing in 2024, Esther has become a well-known presence on TikTok, often using the platform to engage directly with followers. In her latest live session, she confidently asked Kenyans to assist her in acquiring a new vehicle.
This time, Esther expressed her wish for an electric car, saying it would ease her movements and help her cut down on fuel expenses.
It is not the first time she has sought public assistance. Following Chira’s death, TikTokers came together to support her, purchasing land and building her a new house as a gesture of solidarity.
However, in February, Esther again made headlines after expressing dissatisfaction with the new home. She claimed the area was unsafe due to frequent cattle theft and asked to either be relocated or have an electric fence installed. She even warned that she might sell the property if nothing was done.
Her latest request for a car has sparked similar reactions. As before, Kenyans quickly weighed in on social media some joking about her appeal, while others criticised her for appearing overly reliant on well-wishers.
