Nairobi, October 28- Mombasa Air Safari has confirmed the passengers killed in the plane crash on Tuesday were eight Hungarians, two Germans, and a Kenyan pilot. The aircraft, a Cessna Caravan with registration number 5Y-CCA, was operating a scheduled flight from Diani Airport to Kichwa Tembo in the Maasai Mara when it went down in the morning hours. There were no survivors.
In an official statement, the airline expressed deep sorrow over the tragedy, saying, “We are profoundly saddened to report that there are no survivors. Our hearts and prayers are with all those affected by this tragic event.”
The company’s chairman, John Cleave, said Mombasa Air Safari has activated its emergency response team and is working closely with authorities investigating the cause of the crash, which remains unknown.
“Our primary focus right now is on providing all possible support to the families affected,” Cleave said.
A Family Assistance Team has been set up to offer counselling, logistical coordination, and any necessary support to relatives of the victims. The airline said it will continue to cooperate with investigators and provide updates as more information becomes available.
