Nairobi, November 24- As the official campaign window closes at midnight, candidates in Thursday’s by-election are making their final push after weeks of door-to-door engagements, community forums, and energetic debates.
Across the constituency, both UDA and the United Opposition teams are stepping up their final mobilisation efforts, targeting undecided voters with last-minute messages.
Deputy President Kithure Kindiki is expected to join UDA candidate Leo Wamuthende on the trail in Karerema Market and Gitiburi, while President Ruto’s aide Farouk Kibet will campaign for UDA’s David Ndakwa in several wards within Malava Constituency.
DAP–Kenya leader Eugene Wamalwa will also be in Malava rallying support, as Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya and Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale lead efforts in Kisa Ward.
The contest has revolved around key issues such as development projects, job creation, and the quality of public services.
The IEBC says all preparations are complete, including ballot distribution and polling staff deployment, while Inspector General Douglas Kanja has assured the public that security has been boosted to guarantee a peaceful voting day.
