Nairobi, September 10- Corporal Stephen Maina Nderitu, a key witness in the murder case involving the late Albert Ojwang, has died after reportedly collapsing at his home in Nairobi shortly after leaving work.
Nderitu was attached to Central Police Station and was on duty when Ojwang died in police custody on June 7, 2025. He was also reportedly among officers who had information regarding CCTV footage linked to the circumstances surrounding Ojwang’s death.
According to reports, Nderitu’s death occurred before he could testify in the ongoing case, adding a new twist to the proceedings. A postmortem reportedly attributed his death to acute ulcers, cardiac arrest and depression.
His death is expected to raise further questions about the evidence and witnesses in the high-profile case.
