Nairobi, Kenya, December 17-Musician King Kaka and his wife, entrepreneur Nana Owiti, have announced their separation after 13 years together. In a joint social media statement, the couple revealed the decision came after much reflection and mutual agreement.
“We never imagined writing this, but life takes unexpected turns. After much thought, we’ve made the tough decision to end our relationship. Over the years, we’ve shared countless memories and, most importantly, raised three amazing children who remain our top priority,” they wrote.
They emphasized their commitment to co-parenting while requesting privacy during this transition. “As public figures, we understand the attention, but we kindly ask for understanding as we focus on providing love and stability for our children. Their happiness and well-being will always come first.”
The couple concluded by expressing gratitude for the support they’ve received and asked for continued kindness.
Previous Separation Rumors
In May 2024, rumors of a split surfaced, but they denied the claims, with Nana attending King Kaka’s Monkey Business premiere to show unity.
However, bizarre allegations later claimed Nana forged Kaka’s death certificate and moved their children to the UK. Addressing these, King Kaka said, “I don’t chase clout, especially not with family, and neither does Nana. People get carried away and spread lies.”
He clarified that Nana was in Kenya and their children were attending school, urging creators to be mindful and avoid spreading false stories.
