Nairobi, Kenya, November 12- Khaligraph Jones, known as the “OG,” recently showcased his sprawling, three-story mansion in Nairobi, sparking awe—and some playful online jokes comparing it to a mall due to its size.

Khaligraph took the jokes in stride, saying, “Unaamka unapata unatrend sababu umejenga nyumba kubwa inakaa mall. God knows these are the problems I was wishing for.”

Amid the chatter, young contractor Afande Moses from Kisii came to the rapper’s defense, praising the luxurious finishes and significant investment put into the home.

“The least amount of money he has spent on the interior so far is KSh 2 million. His designer did a perfect job,” Afande noted, emphasizing quality details like stainless steel window grills and a soapstone lion sculpture worth KSh 200,000. He dismissed critics, adding, “Most people criticising Khaligraph cannot even buy a tap,” and advised his fellow contractors to offer ideas rather than ridicule.

Khaligraph, who took nearly two years to complete the mansion, has shared that it’s more than a home; it’s a symbol of ambition.

“I’m building a home to show other musicians that it’s good to invest because, with this industry, things can change.” The house’s grandeur—marked by high ceilings, a grand staircase, and multiple bedrooms—reflects his commitment to setting a high standard, with Afande estimating the total cost around KSh 100 million.
