Nairobi, March 11- Radio presenter and content creator Azziad Nasenya has addressed the serious allegations regarding unpaid debts that have been circulating in recent weeks.
Speaking during her radio show at Sound City in Nairobi, the TikTok star acknowledged the social media frenzy surrounding the claims about her financial troubles and decided to set the record straight by responding to her fans’ questions.
“I don’t need to borrow money to maintain my lifestyle. The idea that I took loans is just a narrative, a trending topic that lasted a few days. What doesn’t trend is my hard work and consistency,” Azziad stated.
When asked if she had settled her debts, Azziad explained that she is dealing with the issue directly with those involved. “Real responsibility doesn’t play out in comment sections. I won’t let drama dictate my financial choices. What matters is that I’m actively working to make things right. This is simply a lesson learned. The real strength is in quietly handling your affairs and letting your actions speak for themselves,” she added.
The allegations of unpaid debts first surfaced when blogger Edgar Obare shared claims from anonymous sources close to Azziad. According to Obare, some of Azziad’s friends had contacted him, claiming that she had borrowed large sums of money and failed to repay them.
Obare also posted voice recordings purportedly from Azziad, in which the sender expressed regret and admitted to struggling both financially and emotionally. In one recording, a voice believed to be Azziad’s revealed that she was not “okay” and had experienced a particularly difficult year.
These claims emerged after Azziad disclosed in December 2024 that she had checked herself into a mental health facility for two weeks to address her emotional well-being. Following this, she distanced herself from social media, which fueled further speculation.
In her first public appearance since the controversy began, Azziad assured her fans that despite the challenges, she is now in a better place.
