Nairobi, March 26- For several months, Nairobi-based car dealer Khalif Kairo has been embroiled in controversy, repeatedly arrested over accusations of fraudulent car sales. Clients claim he accepted payments for high-end vehicles but failed to deliver, with reported losses exceeding Sh34 million.
Since December 2024, Kairo has been arrested at least four times, raising concerns about his business practices. While he attributes his troubles to economic challenges and industry competition, the growing number of complaints suggests deeper operational issues.
Kairo insists his business is legitimate, citing over 300 successful car sales worth Sh1 billion in 2024. However, his repeated arrests have only fueled speculation about his dealings.
