Nairobi, March 4- A senior police officer has surrendered to police in Naivasha after he was linked to the killing of his wife in Roysambu.
The officer, identified as Daniel Macharia, works with the Directorate of Criminal Investigations at the agency’s headquarters along Kiambu Road. He was arrested in Naivasha and is expected to be transferred to Nairobi for further questioning.
Police were alerted by Zackary Nyagah, who reported that a body had been found in a house at By Faith Apartment along Lumumba Drive. When officers arrived at the scene, they found the body of 43-year-old Florence Nyagah lying inside the house.
According to police, she had multiple stab wounds on her chest and a deep cut on her forehead. A blood-stained knife, believed to have been used in the attack, was recovered from under a kitchen table.
Florence was last seen on Friday, February 28, during a video call with her daughter. After she failed to respond to later calls, her daughter went to the apartment, where she discovered her mother’s body.
